creative writing in Granada
Our very first creative writing retreat was back in 2009. The location was just perfect: a wonderful countryside setting in the south of Spain, not far from where we are running our nature activities nowadays. We had the use of three gorgeous cortijos (country homes) all to ourselves and our fabulous tutor, author and publisher Jan Fortune-Wood who provided the tools for a wonderful and fertile workshop.
Whether you are already a writer, or just beginning a writing journey, the quietness, beauty and simplicity of the Cortijos will inspire and nourish you. You will get expert advice and a sympathetic ear to your writing challenges and aspirations, and the chances are that you will spend time in the company of other women, from different walks of life, sharing an appreciation of some of the most precious things– "good companionship, laughter, books, writing, and beautiful places. |

Barcelona tapas trail
It was 2007 when we decided to share our knowledge of the best eateries with our guests. The tapas trail was a huge success from the word go. We have welcomed visitors from the States, Canada, the UK. Some women were already in Barcelona but wanted to discover the best hidden eateries, the ones that only natives in the know frequent. We trailed the best of the best, from designer bars to traditional tavernas and made lots of friends on the way. We've run numerous trails since and we are still sharing our insider's knowledge with our visitors.
They've arranged a fun and balanced programme. We went to some traditional tapas bars that would have been hard for tourists to find and serving authentic and delicious food and aperitifs, wine and cava. We also went to more modern trendy ones, a good mix. We did miles of walking in between to explore the wonderful architecture and walked all the way to the sea front. |
tour of Istanbul
We have been helping visitors find the best spots in Istanbul since 2008. Our first trip put to rest any doubts we may have had about putting together such a unique offer. We took our guests to visit the historic jewels of Istanbul and then shared with them the places and experiences that you can only find and get when you have lived in the place, and they absolutely loved it! So we keep sharing our passion for this city and are hoping to include other lesser known and equally bewitching places in Turkey in the near future.

Published author Jane Monson ran our Istanbul Through the Senses activities in Istanbul. We put together an inspiring programme and enjoyed a wonderful time in the company of creative and interesting women. We are planning more creative writing activities in Istanbul and will publish them soon.

mindfulness meditation
A one-off retreat in the Andalucia countryside staying in a wonderful setting. We had the use of three cortijos – typical country homes with a swimming pool – and the most amazing vistas. We loved looking after our guests who enjoyed a few days of total relaxation and meditation.
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. Having attended numerous retreats throughout my professional life, I didn't expect to be looked after the way that you did. The organization was beyond anything I have experienced before, the farm houses were a dream, the constant supply of logs for the fire place, the daily supply of fresh fruit and nuts, the care you put into making our stay wonderful and relaxing. The farm houses and the beautiful landscape are still in my mind, how wonderful to open the window in the morning and have such gorgeous nature at our doorstep. I still have some of the rosemary that I collected outside! I will definitely join you again, I loved it all, the concept, the rapport, the rare mixture of professionalism and warmth, you certainly have a great thing going! |

Excellent! I felt very well looked-after, with emails from you. Being sent details of public transport disruptions was very helpful. The course exceeded my expectations, it was varied, well-run and greatly beneficial. The tutor was excellent. She offered great advice and help. The materials were well-chosen. Through our local group we have arranged some activities in Barcelona, for those living there as well as for visitors. At the moment we are taking a break but will get back to arranging local activities soon.
