This unique Andalucian farm is located in the border of the Granada and Jaen provinces. The farm has three Cortijos (typical Andalucian farmhouses). Each Cortijo has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, washing machine, cafetiere, microwave oven and all necessary kitchen utensils, two bathrooms, log burning fireplace, a minimum of five double-rooms , a large dining/sitting room, TV, DVD, clean bed linen and towels are also provided. Outside a vine canopy covers the porch sitting area and barbecue. These rural houses still maintain their original characteristics, great care has been taken to ensure that every detail meets modern expectations whilst retaining the rustic feel. Quality furnishings and traditional simplicity create a warm and welcoming interior. You'll be able to enjoy a relaxing break.
The views are truly inspiring, reaching as far as the eye can see into the Granada high planes via a undulating foreground of Mediterranean olive groves. Closer to the Cortijos there is a swimming-pool that can be enjoyed when the weather is hot. The immediate surrounding countryside is perfect for an easy walk or a picnic, centenary oaks provide shelter from the sun and typical Mediterranean plants and herbs abound.
Things to do
If what you want is peace and relaxation and you are looking forward to sitting under a centenary oak tree and enjoying a good book or lying by the pool and letting all the stress vanish whilst having a siesta under the sun, this is the perfect place. If you'd like to combine relaxation with physical activity exploring the outdoors, you are in the perfect place.There are plenty of beautiful nature trails and activities to be enjoyed nearby. The Sierra de Castril and Sierra de Baza natural parks are close by. There are four huge reservoirs within driving distance, amongst them the famous Negratin reservoir, a beautiful and enormous blue lake surrounded by a lunar landscape. Activities offered nearby are, hiking, horse riding, canoeing, cycling.
The Cortijos are located close to the Sierra de Cazorla National Park, the largest protected natural habitat in Spain. Here we can find some magnificent waterfalls, like those of the Salto de los Órganos and the Cascada de Linarejos, and sheer-sided gorges, such as the Cerrada de Utrero and the Cerrada de la Canaliega. Many lakes and reservoirs are dotted around the park; by far the largest is the Embalse de Tranco, fed by the infant Guadalquivir and its tributaries.

How to get there
If you are flying in, the closest airport is Granada. Once in Granada you'll need your own transport. There are plenty of car rental companies offering competitive prices. Please, let us know if you require information and we'll be happy to send you details on rent-a-car options.
Driving time from Granada airport to the Cortijos is 1.5 hours.
If you fly to Malaga then the driving time to the cortijos is 3 hours, it's a comfortable and easy drive.

If you are travelling by train the national train company Renfe has trains running from every major Spanish city to Granada including Madrid-Granada from 64 euros each way or the Train Hotel, overnight comfy ride from Barcelona to Granada on first class from as little as 85 euros each way.
